Trilliums and Bluebells

 OK, I'll admit that I tweaked the blue sky a little on this one but essentially, everything else in it and the two that follow are as I saw them.

 The following shot is a true representation of the colours of this Trillium.  It's petals were a pink hue and it did have green stripes.

Columbia 2012

Our first morning in Columbia, Nancy & I walked down the beach to a small fishing village.

Great Grey Owl

Normally a resident of forests far north of the Canada' southernmost town, Kingsville, Ontario, this owl showed up shortly before Christmas 2011.  It is about 2 feet tall with a wing span of about 5 feet.   I had the opportunity to go to Kingsville on January 2, 2012.
