It's great when you get a chance to help out and end up taking photos too.

Workshops
A friend & I went to a photo workshop weekend in late July. Captured a couple of shots that I think are kind of interesting.
Rieve Farm
Typically one of my favourite locations. However this Sunday morning was rainy and wet. Found this relics buried in the tall grasses..
Port Burwell at Night
Now I've taken photo's in lots of strange places and of strange things. Shooting the Milky Way from the north shore of Lake Erie looking south towards Ashtabula is not what I would have considered a smart spend of time. But you be the judge. The Milky Way was shot at about 11:00 pm in mid-June. Captured it before the clouds rolled in. We stayed there shooting until about 2:00 am.

Second week of Swans
Second Saturday early evening, in a row. This time there was more Tundra Swans, lots of sunshine and just as cold as the week before. This time I got the golden shot. Late sunset golden rays on the white swans.

Spring??
The calendar doesn't show that we're in spring yet but to me the first sign of spring is the arrival of the Tundra Swans as they migrate to the far north. A short late afternoon visit to the Aylmer Wildlife Area yesterday was cold, windy, cloudy with a little snow and a little sun.

Kind of Blue
The Peter Karle Combo recreated this classic Miles Davis album on stage at The Aeolian Hall this weekend. While all the players were great, the sax players were standouts to my uneducated ears. Instead of a piano, the guitar was an interesting change up.
Local Folk V
It's the middle of January and I get an email about a concert featuring some local acts that I'd never heard of. To me these types of shows are far more often great rather than disappointing. Local Folk V was no exception. These three different acts all were great. Grand piano, guitar, banjo. In order of appearance at the Aeolian Hall in London, the performers were: Arlene Paculan, Pat Maloney and Marty Kolls. Did I mention the grand piano?
