Juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron
Out for a canoe paddle, I found this heron. I had to look up what it was, when I returned to land. This photo was taken on my Samsung Galaxy S24 (basic) mounted on a selfie stick. Processed in Lightroom. The closest I got to the bird was about 10 metres. The unusual green tinge, on its legs and under its eye, is from Fanshawe Lake's heavy algae bloom this year.
