The last weekend of January 2011, Nancy & I spent a long weekend travelling to & from Montebello, QC. We were part of a bus tour. For two of the days, we travelled around in a school bus looking out onto snow covered trees and hills. There were a variety of deer, caribou, wild boar and bison. But the 36 of us were there to photograph Arctic and Timber wolves. The best show was with the Timber wolves who were "picking on" one lone female. Her snarling and gnashing of teeth did not scare off the pack. The white Arctic wolves did not disappoint either.
Now before you get too worried, the wolves and coyotes were in enclosures that ensured their safety as well as the safety of the other park animals.
Oh Chris! What an absolutely fabulous group of pictures! I can't even try to pick a "favourite" (except maybe the fox ;-) They are all so sharpe and each one just grabs you and takes you into it. I can see that when we get back home I am going to have to shadow you, Dan, Jim, Grant, Don......sigh.... :-)So much to learn....
